Customer Service Agent
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Client Service Agent manages service delivery on assigned accounts to meet or exceed the client’s service expectations. The Client Specialist takes “full ownership” of services/outputs to ensure deliverables are both timely and of high quality. Effective and productive working relationships must be developed and maintained with clients, other associated business units and team members. All Client Service Agent positions report to the Office Manager. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides day to day services to an assigned client base that consist of: supporting client post renewal and ad hoc servicing activities, managing internal resources to effectively produce client outputs and completing assigned tasks - all to a high degree of client satisfaction.
  • Provides consultation and/or manages the production/delivery of client services that include but are not limited to: coverage inquiries, accounting inquiries, policy digests, contract reviews, renewal policy review/checking, endorsement requests/reviews, Surplus Lines filing preparation, renewal/ad hoc certificate of insurance, automobile insurance identification card and renewal invoicing.
  • Provides consultative services and solutions to client inquiries regarding coverage or changes to existing coverage. Refers issues to appropriate unit for resolution or output production.
  • Creates/provides on an as needed/requested basis: policy summaries, schedules of insurance, and premium allocations.
  • Produces “rush” Certificates of Insurance for assigned client base.
  • Produces Automobile insurance identification cards for assigned client base.
  • Processes policy endorsement changes/requests.
  • Interfaces via phone, email, mail or fax with production and/or management staff to manage the timeliness and quality of outputs and escalates service issues for effective resolution. 
  • Assists Originators with New Business opportunities.
  • May adapt existing procedures, processes, and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position.
  • Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine.
  • Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Works under minimal supervision.
  • Assists with training Associate Specialists as requested.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

  • Prior office experience required
  • 3-5 years of insurance experience preferred, not required
  • Demonstrates advanced customer service skills/abilities to directly respond to client requests for services.
  • Displays ability to fully utilize PC office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attains and maintains appropriate insurance license(s).
  • Associate degree or Bachelors degree with emphasis of Risk Management a plus.
